Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he has decided to replace defense minister Oleksii Reznikov. Zelenskyy said on Sunday that Rustem Umerov, chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, should lead the ministry. The replacement is believed to be a de facto dismissal as the ministry has been hit by corruption allegations involving the purchase of military jackets. Reznikov has played a central role in dealing with Russia's invasion of Ukraine by deepening ties with Western nations to elicit military aid.
