1. A fire broke out at the Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo in Kyoto, Japan, on October 6, 2025. 2. The fire was caused by a guest's mobile battery that was being charged and resulted in the burning of part of a desk. 3. Approximately 1,400 guests were evacuated from the hotel, which has around 2,000 occupants. No injuries were reported. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
