Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reiterated that he cannot allow negotiations for ending the conflict with Russia to proceed without Ukraine&#039;s involvement.
                
Zelenskyy delivered a speech at the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Saturday.
                
He stressed the importance of working together for peace and said, &quot;Ukraine will never accept deals made behind our backs without our involvement.&quot;
                
Zelenskyy referred to US President Donald Trump&#039;s phone talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
                
He said Trump did not once mention the need for Europe to be at the negotiating table.
                
US media outlet Bloomberg on Saturday cited sources as saying that senior officials from the US and Russia are meeting next week in Saudi Arabia.
                
The report said the officials will pave the way for a summit between Trump and Putin to be held as soon as at the end of this month.
                
Bloomberg said the US side will be led by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Trump&#039;s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.
                
The Russian delegation will reportedly include presidential aide Yury Ushakov and Sergei Naryshkin, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
                
The report also said senior Ukrainian officials are expected to participate, but they are not fully involved in the preparations.
                
In Germany, when asked about the purported meeting in Saudi Arabia, Zelenskyy told reporters that he did not see any invitations.
                
He said there may be something on the table, &quot;but not on our table.&quot;
                
Zelenskyy also said it would be even &quot;more dangerous&quot; if Trump meets Putin before him.
                
The Ukrainian president earlier expressed his displeasure over Trump calling Putin first before speaking to him on Wednesday.
