The US government says President Joe Biden will attend the Group of 20 summit in India next month.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan announced on Tuesday that Biden will travel to New Delhi from September 7 to 10 to attend the G20 Leaders' Summit.
The White House says Biden and G20 partners will discuss a range of joint efforts to tackle global issues, including transitioning to clean energy and combatting climate change.
It says the leaders will also focus on strategies to mitigate the economic and social impacts of Russian President Vladimir "Putin's war in Ukraine."
Sullivan said Biden will hold a number of bilateral meetings during his stay, but did not provide further details.
Attention is focused on whether Biden will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Sullivan also said Vice President Kamala Harris will attend the summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the East Asia Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia, early next month.
