Japan transport authority starts probe into Haneda Airport collision NHK

The Japan Transport Safety Board has begun a full-scale investigation into the aircraft collision at Haneda Airport in Tokyo.

Debris from the charred fuselages of the Japan Airlines Airbus A350 and a Japan Coast Guard plane lies scattered over a wide area.

An NHK camera on the ground captured six investigators taking photographs and measurements at the scene.

JAL Flight 516 and the coast guard plane collided on runway C at Haneda Airport on Tuesday evening. Five crewmembers of the coast guard plane died in the crash.
