A hacking group called Lapsus$, Scattered Spider, or ShinyHunters has launched a website on the dark web for extortion, threatening to release approximately a billion records stolen from companies using Salesforce cloud databases. 2. The hackers have reportedly breached several high-profile companies over the past few weeks, including Allianz Life, Google, Kering, Qantas, Stellantis, TransUnion, and Workday. FedEx, Hulu, and Toyota Motors are among those listed on their leak site. 3. The hackers demand that Salesforce negotiate a ransom to prevent the leaking of data; however, Salesforce has not yet responded or commented on the matter.
