A: Hey, Yuki! Did you hear about the news?
B: No, what's up?
A: Well, some Chinese ships entered our waters near the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa. It happened around midnight on Saturday.
B: Whoa, really?! And those islands, we control them right?
A: Exactly! But China and Taiwan claim them too. Anyway, these ships tried to get close to a Japanese fishing boat there.
B: Scary stuff... But the Coast Guard is keeping an eye on them, right?
A: Right! They're warning them to leave our waters immediately. These ships have cannons, you know. As of 1 am, one was about 21 km south-southwest and the other west-southwest from Uotsuri Island. They were heading north-northeast.
B: Crazy! So, the Coast Guard has patrol vessels protecting the fishing boat to ensure its safety. I guess they've done this before?
A: Yup! Last time was on July 9. Just wanted to keep you updated, hope you stay safe!
B: Thanks for letting me know, Kaz! Take care yourself too! :)
