French investigative authorities suspect Friday's fatal attacks on Kurdish facilities that killed three people in Paris was racially motivated. Prosecutors on Saturday revealed the suspected motive behind the incident in which a man opened fire at a Kurdish cultural center and other nearby locations. Police arrested a 69-year old man, a French national, at the scene. French media say the man admitted to investigators that he is a racist. Meanwhile in a Paris square on Saturday, hundreds of people joined a rally organized by a Kurdish organization held in protest against the incident. Some protestors clashed with police. Members of the organization tried to stop activists from throwing objects at officers using tear gas.
