An opinion survey in Ukraine has revealed that the percentage of respondents who trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reached its lowest point since the Russian invasion began in 2022. The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology on Tuesday released the results of the survey it conducted in December. According to the poll, 52 percent of the respondents said they trust Zelenskyy, down 7 percentage points from the previous survey conducted in September. Meanwhile, 39 percent said they do not trust the president, an increase of 2 points. Ukraine postponed a presidential election scheduled for March 2024 due to the imposition of martial law following the invasion. A Ukrainian media outlet reported on Monday that Zelenskyy said, "I believe that the elections will take place immediately after the end of martial law -- this is according to the law."
