Wasps sting 20 children, 2 teachers at Tokyo elementary school NHK

Twenty children and two teachers have been taken to hospital after they were stung by wasps at an elementary school in western Tokyo.
Tokyo police and fire department officials say the incident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Imai Elementary School in Ome City. The officials say all the victims are conscious. It is not known how serious their injuries are.
The school says more than 30 first-graders were having a class outside the school building when some of them were stung by wasps about 2 centimeters long. The officials say the insects appear to be a type of hornet that makes nests in the ground.
Authorities are trying to find more details about what happened.
