Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned Russia in a video message as he wished his country a "Merry Christmas." The video was released on Saturday, the day Ukrainians celebrate the traditional Ukrainian Christmas.
He said the world has seen Moscow's deception because, after calling for a ceasefire, Russian forces shelled Bakhmut and other Ukrainian positions.
Zelenskyy said "only the expulsion of Russian occupiers from Ukrainian land and the elimination of any opportunities for Russia to pressure on Ukraine and the whole of Europe will mean the restoration of the ceasefire, security and peace."
