A magnitude 7.3 earthquake has struck the Tonga region, triggering a tsunami advisory for American Samoa in the South Pacific. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration lifted the tsunami advisory soon after. NOAA says there is no further tsunami threat from this quake, although minor sea level fluctuations may continue.
