Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday appointed Yuriy Lutovinov -- a diplomat with 18 years of experience working in Japan -- as ambassador to the country.



Lutovinov served as counselor-envoy at the Ukrainian Embassy in Tokyo and is fluent in Japanese.
