Russia and Ukraine have exchanged hundreds of prisoners of war in line with an agreement reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. Russia's defense ministry on Wednesday said Russia returned 175 Ukrainian prisoners of war and 22 severely wounded soldiers in need of emergency medical care. In exchange, it said 175 Russian servicemen were returned "from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime." Putin and Trump agreed on the swap during phone talks on Tuesday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged the swap on Wednesday in social media posts. He pledged Ukraine will definitely bring "all our people home."
