A: Hey buddy! Did you catch the news lately? B: Not really, what's up? A: So, Trump just announced that he'll be having a chat with Iran next week! B: Whoa, for real? What about their nuclear stuff though? A: Well, our dude Witkoff said we want peace with Iran but we won't accept their uranium enrichment or any nuclear weapons. He called it the red line that could destabilize the whole region. B: And what about the whole Israel thing? Is that still a problem? A: Yeah, Trump also wants to normalize relations between Israel and Arab countries to stabilize the Middle East. Apparently, there'll be some big announcements soon about countries joining our peace efforts. B: Sounds like things are heating up! Keep me posted, buddy! A: Will do, mate! Let's see what happens next week. 😊 ---------------- US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has said the United States will seek a comprehensive peace deal with Iran in upcoming talks but will not accept its uranium enrichment nor the possession of nuclear weapons. At a news conference in The Hague on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump stressed that the fighting between Iran and Israel that continued from June 13 was over, and said the US plans to talk with Iran next week. On the same day, Witkoff said during an appearance on US news channel CNBC that the US is "hopeful for a comprehensive peace agreement" with Iran. Witkoff said, "We are having conversations with the Iranians," adding, "I think that they are ready." Witkoff emphasized that the US will not allow Iran to enrich uranium and develop nuclear weapons, calling the action "the red line" and something that "will destabilize the entire region." He noted that Trump aims to have Israel and Arab countries normalize their diplomatic ties to stabilize the Middle East. Witkoff explained that the talks for that purpose are underway and said, "We think we are going to have some pretty big announcements on countries" joining US peace efforts.
