1. Unpublished scripts and notes by the late Japanese animation director Takahata Isao, known for works like "Heidi, Girl of the Alps" and "Grave of the Fireflies", have been discovered at his home. The writings are believed to be from his 20s.

2. One script, titled "Oeyama," is based on the legend of "Shutendoji," a demon who was killed by a samurai hero. Takahata had notes suggesting he did not want a depiction of the killing and viewed the demon as somewhat comical, not necessarily evil.

3. Another script, titled "Moratta Hoseki," is based on a children's story by Miyazawa Kenji. In Takahata's version, the rabbit learns from his mistakes and drives away the trickster fox with help from animal friends, which differs from the original story's punishment for wrongdoing. The discovered material also includes ideas for a prequel to "The Tale of Princess Kaguya."
