Sport fans in Japan had a chance to enjoy Olympic and Paralympic sports at an event to revisit last year's Tokyo Games.

The event took place at the National Stadium in Tokyo on Sunday.

Areas were set up where visitors could experience eight different sports.

In the skateboard area, teenage professional skateboarders taught participants basic skills on how to move and stop. The sport has been popular in Japan, with Japanese athletes winning gold medals at the Tokyo Games.

There was also an area for wheelchair rugby. Japan won the bronze in the sport in the Tokyo Paralympics.

Visitors sat in a wheelchair to experience the impact of being tackled.

A participant in her 40s said she was surprised by the force of the tackle.

A visitor who tried skateboarding said he was impressed by the strong performances of young skateboarders at the Tokyo Games. He said he hopes that the sport will further develop in Japan.
