Ukraine's ambassador to Japan has called for the country's continued support for Ukraine's reconstruction. Sergiy Korsunsky was speaking at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan in Tokyo on Tuesday for an event marking 1,000 days since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began. He said Russian forces have destroyed about 200,000 buildings, including schools and hospitals, with missiles, drones and other weapons. He added that Ukrainians will be working hard to have Japanese experience brought to their country to aid reconstruction. On North Korean soldiers' recent involvement, Korsunsky said their participation has not caused any serious trouble to Ukraine. He noted that the North Koreans do not understand Russian, so they cannot communicate with their Russian counterparts. But Korsunsky also pointed out that if the North becomes more sophisticated in terms of military technologies, that will be a direct threat to East Asia. He indicated Ukraine will closely watch what Russia is giving North Korea in return.
