Ukraine&#039;s minister for veterans&#039; affairs has resigned in a de-facto dismissal. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy apparently aims to jumpstart the war against Russia by reshuffling his country&#039;s leadership.
                
Yulia Laputina submitted a letter of resignation to Ukraine&#039;s parliament on Monday without explanation.
                
Zelenskyy, the same day, called Laputina&#039;s action &quot;solely a managerial issue.&quot; He said, &quot;Ukraine needs strength, fresh energy, and adequate leadership in all areas.&quot;
                
The president has suggested replacing multiple state leaders, including the country&#039;s top military commander, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
                
In an interview with Italian public broadcaster RAI aired on Sunday, Zelenskyy said, &quot;A reset, a new beginning is necessary.&quot;
                
Zelenskyy also said in the interview that ground battles with Russian forces are in a stalemate. He also revealed that 26 percent of Ukraine&#039;s territory is under Russian control.
                
Ukraine&#039;s local media reported that Zelenskyy is also considering replacing General Staff Chief Serhii Shaptala.
