Defending champions France through to semifinals NHK

Defending champions France advanced to the semifinals of the men's FIFA World Cup with a thrilling 2-1 win over England on Saturday.

France took the lead in the 17th minute at Al Bayt Stadium on a low shot by Aurelien Tchouameni.
England equalized in the 54th when captain Harry Kane converted a penalty.
