A: Hey there, any news from back home?
B: Not much really, just the usual. But what's up with you?
A: Well, I was listening to NHK and they said something interesting about our Canadian friend Anand.
B: Oh, really? What did they say?
A: She sat down for an interview and said that her group, the G7, is planning to meet again in Canada this year to talk about Ukraine.
B: That's serious! I wonder what they will decide.
A: Right! She also added that they need to make sure Ukraine can decide on its own territorial integrity and sovereignty.
B: Wow, I hope it works out for them.
A: She also said this meeting is going to happen after the one she hosted in The Hague during the NATO summit a while back.
B: And what about that G7 leaders summit in June? They didn't agree on anything regarding Ukraine, right?
A: That's correct. But it seems Canada wants to take up the issue at this G7 foreign ministerial meeting.
B: That's good to hear. I hope they can find a solution.
A: Oh, and about those tariff measures from President Trump, Anand said they're really affecting our steel, aluminum sector, auto industry, and people's daily lives here in Canada.
B: That sounds tough. Hopefully, they can come to an agreement before the deadline next month.
A: She also had a strong reaction to Trump suggesting Canada should become the 51th state. She said, "Canada will never be the 51st state. Period."
B: Haha, I think we all agree on that! Canada is awesome just the way it is!
