The Lebanon-based Shia Muslim group Hezbollah announced on Tuesday that it elected Naim Qassem as its new leader.
Qassem succeeds Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed last month in Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah headquarters outside Beirut.
