1. Data center power demands have increased significantly, with projections reaching up to multi-megawatt racks in the next few years.
   - Tim Heidel, CEO of Veir, predicts future data centers will require up to a megawatt and even higher.

2. To address the challenges of handling this growing power load, Veir has developed a superconducting electrical cable system capable of carrying 3 megawatts of low-voltage electricity.
   - The startup aims to demonstrate the technology in a simulated data center next year before a commercial launch in 2027.

3. Superconductors can carry power with zero energy loss, but they need to be cooled below freezing temperatures. Veir has adapted this technology for use in data centers by containing the liquid nitrogen coolant within the cables and using termination boxes to transition from superconductors to copper cables.
   - This results in cables that require 20 times less space while carrying power five times farther, making them ideal for dense data center environments.
