Israeli military says two Hamas leaders killed in air strikes NHK

The Israeli military says it has killed two senior members of the Palestinian militant group Hamas who are said to have been involved in the October 7 surprise attack against Israel.

The two are Ali Qadi, a Hamas commander, and Murad Abu Murad, a senior member of the group's armed wing.

Concerning the killing of Qadi, a spokesperson for the military posted on social media a video of the destruction of a building in an air strike.

An Israeli media outlet, The Times of Israel, reported that the military killed Qadi in a drone attack in collaboration with the country's intelligence organization.

The military said Abu Murad was killed in an air strike.
