UN General Assembly president urges Russia to withdraw from Ukraine NHK

The president of the United Nations General Assembly has called on Russia to end its invasion of Ukraine to maintain international order.

He stressed that concerted efforts by the international community are necessary to find means to create a ceasefire, in order to bring humanitarian aid to people in Gaza.

Asked if countries can cooperate on the climate change issue even though international society is divided and polarized, Francis said he has no doubt that they can and that commitments undertaken need to be honored.
