Israeli forces are continuing airstrikes in the Gaza Strip three months into their conflict with Hamas. The number of civilian casualties is growing.
                
The World Health Organization has expressed concern over attacks on and around medical institutions, and urged Israel to stop targeting them.
                
The Israeli military said its overnight air offensive into Monday targeted 30 Hamas locations, including weapons storage facilities, in southern Gaza&#039;s Khan Younis, killing 10 fighters.
                
Local Palestinian media reported that an Israeli attack in central Gaza on Monday killed eight people and injured many others.
                
Health authorities in Gaza said on Sunday that 22,835 people had been killed since the conflict began on October 7.
                
On Sunday, the WHO released footage showing one of its officials visiting a hospital in central Gaza. The official said that due to evacuation orders, the facility is operating with about 30 percent of the staff it had just a few days ago. He also said they are seeing hundreds of casualties every day in a small emergency department.
                
He added that the hospital&#039;s director is requesting that the hospital be protected.
                
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is on a tour of the Middle East.
                
At a news conference on Sunday, he said it is imperative that Israel do more to protect civilians.
                
Blinken is to visit Israel later in the tour. He is expected to hold discussions with Israeli officials on scaling down the country&#039;s military operation.
