The United Nations said on Wednesday that more than 500,000 people are reported to have been newly displaced or uprooted in Gaza since Israel resumed a large-scale military offensive on March 18.
        
                    
                  
Palestinian media reported that 23 people who were living in tents were killed in attacks by the Israeli military in various parts of Gaza from Wednesday night through Thursday morning.
