1. Japanese police arrested seven individuals on suspicion of defrauding an elderly woman in Saitama Prefecture, near Tokyo, last November.
- The group allegedly posed as banking association employees and convinced the victim to hand over her cash card, using it to withdraw approximately 26,000 USD from ATMs.
- Since 2023, 29 members of the group have been arrested, with Takahashi Munemasa, believed to be the leader, being one of them.

2. The police investigation has revealed that losses from the group's activities over a period of about 30 months could total around 14 million dollars.
