A high court in South Korea has decided to hold the hearing of the country's main opposition candidate after the presidential election on June 3. Lee Jae-myung has been nominated as the presidential candidate for the Democratic Party. He was charged with violating the election law during his previous bid for the presidency. A district court found him guilty, but the Seoul High Court acquitted him. Last week, the Supreme Court annulled the acquittal and sent the case back to the high court. On Wednesday, the high court announced that the first session of the trial will be held on June 18. Observers had pointed out that another guilty ruling before voting day would impact the election.
