A spokesperson for Israel's military says the airstrikes it conducted on Gaza's one of the largest refugee camps this week were based on precise intelligence. Israeli forces conducted military operations around Gaza City in the north of the Gaza Strip from Wednesday to Thursday and carried out huge airstrikes on the Jabalia refugee camp. The Gaza Health Ministry has said that 195 people have been confirmed dead, and 120 others remain unaccounted for and are believed to be trapped under the rubble. Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari said on Wednesday that the airstrikes hit a Hamas position in Jabalia based on precise intelligence, killing the head of the Hamas anti-tank missile unit. Hagari went on to say that Israel has been conducting its ground operation in Gaza with advance planning, precise intelligence, and joint attacks from the land, air, and sea. He added that the Israeli military has approved a plan for continuing ground operations in Gaza. Meanwhile, the Gaza health ministry announced on Thursday that a hospital that was accepting people injured in the blasts at the Jabalia refugee camp suspended some functions due to a fuel shortage. The ministry said about half of the 35 hospitals in the Gaza Strip have stopped operating due to fuel shortages or Israeli attacks. The ministry stressed that patients have been left in an extremely dangerous situation.
