Russia: Ukrainian unmanned water-surface drones attacked Crimean bridge NHK

Russia has blamed Ukraine for an incident on Monday involving damage to a bridge connecting Russia with Crimea. Russia annexed the region from Ukraine in 2014.

A Russian anti-terrorism committee says Ukraine attacked the bridge early Monday using two unmanned water surface drones. It says it has opened a criminal investigation.

Ukraine's defense intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov said on social media later in the day that there was no missile attack on the bridge on July 17.

Russia also blamed Ukraine when the bridge partially collapsed due to an explosion last October, calling it a terrorist attack. Ukraine later admitted its involvement.
