Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief has expressed his concerns over shrinking military support to his country and stressed the need to utilize inexpensive and effective weapons, such as drones, to counter Russia's invasion. Valerii Zaluzhnyi made the argument in his essay for CNN, which was released on Thursday. He says that political instability in Western countries may led to a reduction in military support for his country. Zaluzhnyi also says heightened tensions in the Middle East, including Israel and Yemen, could distract key partners from supporting Ukraine. Zaluzhnyi says the Russian military has "a significant advantage in the mobilization of human resources." He adds that Ukraine is facing difficulty getting enough personnel for its defense forces to boost its military capabilities. Zaluzhnyi argues that the main option for Ukraine to gain an advantage is perhaps to "master the entire arsenal of relatively cheap, modern and extremely effective assets." Rumors have been swirling about a rift between Zaluzhnyi and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Western and Ukrainian media outlets have reported that Zelenskyy was trying to replace Zaluzhnyi. But Ukraine's defense ministry denies the possibility of the replacement of the military leadership.
