Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he is continuing to push for the extension of the Ukrainian grain agreement with Russia. Earlier on Monday, the Kremlin halted the deal with Kyiv that was signed last July and mediated by Turkey and the United Nations. Erdogan said he will speak to Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone on the issue. The two countries' foreign ministers will also be in communication. He added he hopes to meet with Putin in Turkey in August. He said he believes Putin wants to continue the humanitarian grain agreement, despite Monday's statement.
