A: Hey there! Did you catch the news about the fun event over the weekend?
   B: Not yet, what's up?

A: They had this goldfish-catching contest in Yamatokoriyama City, and guess how many people joined?!
   B: Umm... how many is "more than 1,600"? That's a lot!

A: Exactly! It's been going on since '95 to promote the city as a goldfish-raising hub.
   B: Oh wow, that's interesting! How do they catch them?

A: They use these fragile paper scoops and have just three minutes to grab as many fish as possible.
   B: Wow, that sounds challenging! What happened in the team competition?

A: Well, they surrounded tubs with about 1,000 goldfish, and the crowd went wild when someone caught two in one scoop!
   B: That must have been exciting to watch! Did any teams stand out?

A: One group of former high school classmates said catching three fish isn't great but was an improvement from last year. They only got two then.
   B: Haha, that's not the best result, but at least they enjoyed it and plan to join again next year!
