Former US President Donald Trump is asserting baseless claims of fraud in the midterm elections, as the question of which party will control the Congress remains undecided. ABC News projects that both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party will secure 49 seats each in the Senate with the seats for Georgia and Nevada still in play. Democrats need just one more win to maintain their control of the chamber because Vice President Kamala Harris can cast a tie-breaking vote. Georgia will hold a runoff election in December, so all eyes are on the vote counting in Nevada. The Associated Press reported in Nevada the incumbent Democrat and the Republican challenger were still neck and neck with an estimated 94.7 percent of votes counted as of Saturday. As to the House of Representatives, AP projections put Democrats at 201 seats and Republicans at 211 seats. A majority of the chamber is 218 seats. Former President Donald Trump is making baseless claims of election fraud in several states including Arizona, where the Republican candidate he endorsed is projected to lose the Senate race. Trump is calling for redoing the voting in the state.
