US President Donald Trump has expressed hope that something positive will come out of direct talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Turkey on Thursday. Speaking at a meeting with business people in Qatar's capital of Doha on Thursday, Trump said, "I just hope that Russia and Ukraine are able to do something, because it has to stop," referring to the war. Asked about an earlier remark that he might travel to Istanbul to join the talks, Trump said, "I was thinking about going, but it's very tough because of what we're doing today and tomorrow." Still, Trump did not rule out the possibility that he might travel to Istanbul on Friday.
