Japan's health ministry says it confirmed 3,239 new cases of the coronavirus in Tokyo on Saturday. The figure increased by 634 from a week ago. The ministry also said four deaths were confirmed in the capital. The number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines is nine, down one from Friday. Nationwide, ministry officials confirmed 35,138 new cases and 67 deaths on Saturday.
