Iran defeats Japan in Asian Cup soccer quarterfinal NHK

Iran has defeated Japan in the quarterfinal of the Asian Cup soccer championship now underway in Qatar.

The world's 21st-ranked Iran faced off with 17th -ranked Japan on Saturday.
