Ozeki champion Takakeisho has won his fourth title at the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament.
Takakeisho beat 21-year-old rank-and-file wrestler Atamifuji in a playoff on Sunday after both of them finished with 11 wins and four losses.
Takakeisho was absent from the previous tournament due to knee injuries. He entered the autumn tourney as a kadoban, which meant he needed to win at least 8 bouts to retain his Ozeki status.
He became the first kadoban Ozeki to clinch the title since Goeido in 2016.
