The highly-anticipated annual Apple Event is this week, and tech nerds and regular smartphone users alike are eagerly anticipating what new software and products may be announced.

This year's Apple Event, titled "Awe Dropping," is Tuesday, Sept. 9. Apple executives will discuss the company's year and new products ahead.


Though the media giant hasn't released an itinerary for the event, media experts expect Apple to unveil the iPhone 17, which has been rumored to feature Apple's first custom-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip. The smartphone is predicted to be roughly the same as the iPhone 16 but with a larger front-facing camera (24-megapixels compared to 12-megapixels) and longer battery life.

What will be discussed at the 2025 Apple Event?

Aside from the iPhone 17, here's a look at what else is rumored to be unveiled:

Apple Air

In 2024, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the iPhone Plus line would be discontinued with the iPhone 17, making room for iPhone Air. Bloomberg reported this new model will be about 5.5 millimeters thin, which is about a third thinner than the iPhone 16 pro.


Macworld, an Apple news outlet, also expects the iPhone Air line to create a new camera bar, where the design element that features the phone's rear cameras stretches across the phone.

Apple Watches

Macworld also expects Apple to revamp its Apple Watch line, debuting the Series 11, SE and Ultra 3. These watches may be larger in size and come with watchOS 26 pre-installed.
