A: Hey! Did you hear about the pandas in Malaysia?

B: No! Pandas? Really? What’s going on?

A: They just arrived last month! They’re at the national zoo, near Kuala Lumpur.

B: Wow! Who are they?

A: They’re Chen Xing (a boy) and Xiao Yue (a girl). Both are five years old!

B: That’s so cute! When could people see them?

A: They had a special welcome ceremony on January 10th! Even the Prime Minister was there!

B: Seriously? How long are they staying?

A: Ten years! It's part of an agreement between Malaysia and China. It’s for panda conservation, you know.

B: That's great! So, were there pandas there before?

A: Yeah, but the previous two pandas went back to China last May. People were *really* excited for these new ones to arrive!

B: I can imagine! Everyone wants to see pandas!

A: Exactly! The zoo is super busy now. Lots of people are taking pictures.

B: One person said it was her first time to see pandas! So adorable!

A: The zoo staff are really happy to take care of them too. They’re working hard!
