Scores of people were injured after a massive fire broke out Tuesday at a gas pipeline in Malaysia. The blaze has been extinguished. The fire erupted near residential areas on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. The pipeline is operated by state energy giant Petronas. Flames 20 stories high rose into the sky. No deaths have been reported, but officials say about 180 people have been hospitalized. They are being treated for burns, other injuries and respiratory problems. Hundreds of homes and vehicles were also reportedly damaged. A 59-year-old male resident said: "The fire was really raging high. And then debris, which was still on fire, started to fall all over the place. We know something bad has happened." An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says those affected will receive financial aid.
