B: Oh, hi Maria! No, what’s up? It's been crazy busy!

A: Apparently, Trump is getting pretty serious about Iran having nuclear weapons.

B: Really? That doesn't sound good! What's he doing?

A: He’s sending a huge warship, like a giant aircraft carrier, to the Middle East!  It’s really close.

B: Wow! That’s a big show of force.  Did Iran say anything back?

A: Yeah, their leader warned that attacks could cause a big problem for the whole region.

B: So, is Trump worried?

A: He said he *wants* to make a deal, but if they don't, we’ll see if the Iranian leader was right about something.  Kind of a mysterious comment!

B: Hmm... That sounds a little scary. Is anyone trying to calm things down?

A: Actually, yes! Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar are trying to set up a meeting between an American envoy and some important Iranian people.

B: In Turkey? That's interesting!

A: Yep! In Ankara, hopefully this week. Everyone’s watching to see if it actually happens and if it helps ease the tension.

B: Fingers crossed! Let’s hope for peace!
