Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked the international community to supply new weapons quickly to his country as Russian attacks there continue to kill civilians.
                
In a video speech released on Sunday, Zelenskyy criticized Moscow for inflicting civilian casualties, adding it &quot;hopes to drag out the war, to exhaust our forces.&quot;
                
He said, &quot;We must speed up the events, speed up the supply and opening of new necessary weaponry options for Ukraine.&quot;
                
His comments come after Russia lashed out at the decisions by a number of countries to give battle tanks to Ukraine and carried out more attacks on Ukrainian cities over the weekend.
                
The governor of Ukraine&#039;s eastern region of Kharkiv said in a social media post on Monday that a Russian missile hit a four-story apartment building on Sunday night, killing one elderly woman and wounding others.
                
Officials in the southern region of Kherson said earlier on Sunday that Russian forces mounted an artillery attack on the city of Kherson, damaging a hospital and a school.
                
The officials said the strike left three people dead and at least six others wounded, including a nurse.
                
Meanwhile, Britain&#039;s defense ministry tweeted on Sunday that Ukrainian tank crews have arrived in Britain for training. The post carried photos of Ukrainian troops disembarking from an aircraft.
                
A ministry official said the training on the tanks&#039; operation and maintenance would start on Monday.
                
Britain had said it would provide Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine. The United States and Germany followed by offering similar promises.
