Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has blamed Israel for Tuesday's deadly hospital attack in the Gaza Strip and harshly criticized the country. In a social media post on the same day, Erdogan said striking a hospital where there are women, children and innocent civilians is the latest example of Israel's attacks devoid of fundamental human values. He called on all humanity to take action to stop Israel's unprecedented brutality in Gaza. Crowds of people gathered in front of the Israeli Embassy in Turkey's capital, Ankara, and the consulate general in its largest city, Istanbul. Waving Palestinian flags, they shouted, "Murderers, leave Palestine" and "We'll keep up resistance." In Istanbul, security forces used tear gas against protesters who attempted to storm into the consulate general.
