Myanmar&#039;s military has acknowledged that it carried out deadly air strikes on a village on Tuesday.

Local media say at least 100 civilians including children were killed in a village in the northwestern region of Sagaing.
                
A military spokesperson referred to the casualties, saying that members of the pro-democracy armed forces sometimes try to disguise themselves by wearing civilian clothes.
                
He said he received a report that the air strikes hit an arsenal belonging to insurgent fighters, triggering deadly explosions that killed people in the village.
                
The attack was one of the deadliest by Myanmar&#039;s military since a coup two years ago.
