It has been almost three weeks since a devastating earthquake hit Myanmar. The United Nations says that at least 2.5 million tons of debris must be removed. It's calling for a greater global response to support recovery. The UN Development Programme has published data showing widespread devastation. It says more than 10,000 homes and public service buildings, as well as 128 health facilities, may have been significantly damaged or destroyed. The UNDP also says that over 60,000 people in areas including the northwestern Sagaing region are in temporary displacement sites. Roads and water supplies have been cut off to some areas. The magnitude-7.7 earthquake struck central parts of the country on March 28. The ruling military says the disaster has left more than 3,700 people dead and over 120 unaccounted for.
