Thursday marks 13 months since the October 7 attack on Israel by the Islamic group Hamas, which prompted Israel to launch a military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
                
No end to the fighting is in sight, as Israel is striking Shia Muslim group Hezbollah in Lebanon, while also battling Hamas in Gaza.

In a televised speech on Wednesday, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said, &quot;We do not build an expectation of stopping the aggression through political action,&quot; vowing that the group will continue fighting.
                
A governor in eastern Lebanon on Wednesday reported that 30 people have been killed in 20 Israeli strikes throughout the day.
                
Concerns are on the rise that fighting will intensify, and the number of civilian deaths will rise.
