Gunman kills 14 at university in Prague NHK

A gunman has opened fire at a university in the Czech Republic, leaving 14 people dead and 25 wounded. The authorities say the shooting was not connected to terrorism.

The incident occurred at Charles University in central Prague on Thursday afternoon.

The attacker is believed to be a 24-year-old student at the university. He was confirmed dead on the campus.

His father was also found dead in their home outside Prague earlier in the day.

The university is located near Prague's Old Town, home to historic structures such as Charles Bridge.
