Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi says the United States has a wrong perception of China, and he wants Washington to be objective and rational.

Wang made the comment at a news conference in Beijing on Thursday, on the sidelines of the National People's Congress.

He urged the US to look at China's development objectively and rationally, so that bilateral relations would stabilize and be put on a track to sound and sustainable development.

Wang stressed that China is always willing to strengthen dialogue and communication with the US, to build a bridge for mutual understanding and eliminate unnecessary misunderstanding and bias.

He expressed belief that China and the US will find a way to get along.

On relations with Russia, Wang said the fact that trade between the two countries surpassed the initial target and totaled 240 billion dollars last year underscored the strength and potential of bilateral cooperation.

He noted that China and Russia, as major world powers, have forged a new relationship that is completely different from the Cold War framework.

He stressed that China will maintain a permanent friendship with Russia and deepen strategic cooperation, without forming a bloc or confronting a third country.
